Elizabeth Gilbert On Nurturing Creativity

One last TED-talk-video, I felt you would enjoy, especially if you are a writer/creative.

Elizabeth Gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses -- and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person "being" a genius, all of us "have" a genius. It's a funny, personal and surprisingly moving talk.

Wow.  I love this woman.

Amy Tan on creativity | Video on TED.com

Taking a cue from Jane Friedman's "3 Happy Things" (Inspiring Videos on Facebook), I'll share a TED video I keep going back to.

Warning:  You may get hooked on TED after viewing this wonderful talk by Amy Tan (and if that doesn't do it, check out the video with JK Rowling that I shared in a previous post).

Here, novelist Amy Tan digs deep into the creative process, looking for hints of how hers evolved.

You'll love it, I guarantee, no matter what your creative preference.

JK Rowling: The fringe benefits of failure | Video on TED.com

At her Harvard commencement speech, "Harry Potter" author JK Rowling offers some powerful, heartening advice to dreamers and overachievers, including one hard-won lesson that she deems "worth more than any qualification I ever earned."

I was so impressed with JK Rowling's speech, as presented on TED, that I had to share it with you.

It is 20 minutes well spent.
